Good Morning, Class of '64

A 50th Reunion planning meeting was held on Saturday, June 7, at C & J's in Valley Bend, West Virginia, by the The Tygarts Valley High School Class of 1964. There was a show and tell of completed projects and purchased items.

DAY 65 - COUNTING DOWN TO THE 50TH - 50TH REUNION MEETING

Good Morning, Class of '64

At 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 7, a meeting will be held at C&J's in Valley Bend, West Virginia to discuss preparations for the Tygarts Valley High School Class of 1964's 50th Class Reunion. 

The Reunion date is drawing closer, so if you have any ideas you would like to offer to the reunion committee please come to the meeting on Saturday.

 

 

MEETING

GOOD MORNING, CLASS OF '64

A meeting was held Saturday, April 5, 2014 to discuss plans for the Tygarts Valley High School Class of 1964's 50th class reunion.

It was reported that several registration forms have been returned, and more are expected in the coming days. It was decided to send a reminder postcard to those not responding by the recommended time.

Items to be included in the welcome bags were discussed. Several items have been collected from local businesses, and some have been purchased. Other items will be completed soon, and more items are to be collected.

The planned auction was discussed. A tote bag imprinted with the old Tygarts Valley High School building will be auctioned. The tote bag will contain various items also imprinted with the old high school building. 

The graduating class of 1964 group picture was discussed. There will be a group picture taken of the TVHS class of 1964 graduates and another group picture of all those attending the class reunion. A local photographer will be contacted about taking the pictures.
Decorations were discussed. Centerpieces have been completed and safely stored. The decoration committee will meet in June to complete other planned projects.

It was decided that during the class meeting, on the 50th reunion day, the money remaining in the TVHS Class of 1964's bank account should be discussed. All agreed that a decision needed to be made about dispersal of funds.

Attending the meeting at C&J's in Valley Bend were: Gary Channell, Judy (Ware) Primavero, Janet (Kittle) McCloud and Fred Ware. 

 

The next meeting of the reunion committee will be at C&J's in Valley Bend, Saturday, June 7 at 3:00 PM. Any class member interested in helping with the 50th reunion plans is welcome to attend.

MEETING

On Saturday, February 22, 2014, a meeting was held at the Valley Head Community Center, in Valley Head, WV, to discuss plans for the TVHS Class of 1964's 50th Class Reunion. The decision was made to hold the event at the Dailey Fire Hall. Reasons for this decision were accessibility for less mobile attendees, the maneuverability of the large space inside the building, proximity to local motels and eating establishments, and the fact that it's location is in the vicinity served by Tygarts Valley High School.
 
The committee will meet again at 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2014, at C&J's, in Valley Bend, WV. Editing and approval of the outgoing registration letter to all 1964 graduates informing them of the Class of 1964's 50th Class Reunion plans is the purpose of the meeting.

Anybody interested in helping plan the Class of 1964's 50th Class Reunion is welcome to attend.

There will be a meeting tomorrow at the fire hall in Valley Head, WV to discuss where the TVHS Class of 1964's 50th class reunion will be held. Other matters will also be discussed at this time. If you are interested in helping plan the 50th reunion be at the fire hall, in Valley Head, at 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 22.

MEETING HELD FOR TVHS CLASS OF 1964's 50th CLASS REUNION

TVHS CLASS OF 1964 50TH CLASS REUNION MEETING

The third meeting to make plans for the TVHS class of 1964's 50th class reunion was held 3:00 pm, Saturday, at C&J's in Valley Bend, West Virginia. 
No decision was made about where the gathering would be held. Two locations are in discussion, and the matter will be resolved at the next meeting.
There was a discussion of mementos to be received by each class member, with a polo shirt and emblem being favored. Other mementos were discussed. 
An address list for all class members has been updated and completed, and a listing has been made of all deceased class members. 
The group will meet Saturday, February 15, in Valley Head, to view and discuss a suggested location for the 50th reunion. The decision on location will then be made.

DAY 202 - COUNTING TOWARD THE 50TH

Planning 64's 50th Class Reunion

Two meetings have been held in anticipation of the TVHS Class of 1964's fiftieth class reunion. A two day event is being planned for August 9 and 10 of 2014.

A search for addresses is underway by Janet (Kittle) McCloud, and information is being gathered to determine a place to hold the event.

 
More information will be posted as it becomes known.

The committee will meet again February 1, 2014, at 3:00 pm, at C&J's in Valley Bend, WV. Any 1964 class member wishing to be involved with reunion planning is welcome to attend.
