GOOD MORNING, CLASS OF '64
Our parents listened to Big Band music, but the music of our generation was Rock 'n' Roll. Some say rock music began in the fifties, but others believe it had its beginning much earlier than that, perhaps in the early 1920s. Rock's background could be country and western, blues, or gospel. Whenever it started or wherever it came from, we shook, rattled and rolled!

"Shake, Rattle And Roll"
"Shake, Rattle And Roll"
Get out from that kitchen and rattle those pots and pans
Get out from that kitchen and rattle those pots and pans
Well, roll my breakfast 'cause I'm a hungry man
[Chorus:]
I said Shake, rattle and roll
I said Shake, rattle and roll
I said Shake, rattle and roll
I said Shake, rattle and roll
Well, you never do nothin' to save your doggone soul
Wearin' those dresses, your hair done up so nice
Wearin' those dresses, your hair done up so nice
You look so warm, but your heart is cold as ice
[Chorus]
I'm like a one-eyed cat, peepin' in a sea-food store
I'm like a one-eyed cat, peepin' in a sea-food store
I can look at you, tell you don't love me no more
I believe you're doin' me wrong and now I know
I believe you're doin' me wrong and now I know
The more I work, the faster my money goes
[Chorus]
Shake, Rattle And Roll

Rock and roll is the most brutal, ugly, degenerate, vicious form of
expression — lewd, sly, in plain fact, dirty — a rancid-smelling
aphrodisiac and the martial music of every side-burned delinquent on the
face of the earth.
